John Kasich’s Advice for Avoiding Campus Sexual Assault: "Don’t Attend Parties With Lots of Alcohol"

Really?

John Kasich is definitely not a Donald Trump or a Ted Cruz, but he’s just as dangerous to women. The Republican hopeful made that pretty evident when he answered a college student’s question on what he planned to do as president to help her feel safe in regard to sexual harassment and assault on campus.

During a town hall in New York, Kasich first focused on his push to provide a safety net for those students dealing with sexual assault with confidential reporting, access to rape kits and the ability to seek justice after they’ve "had some time to reflect on it all," CNNreports. Clearly uncomfortable with the heavy topic, the Ohio governor added that he has two 16-year’old daughters and that he doesn’t like to think about it.

That’s when the first-year student from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York chimed in that unlike him, this is something she does have to think about. The exchange could have ended there but Kasich just had to offer his advice which sound eerily similar to that one Jamie Foxx song we jammed to a few years ago.

"Well I would give you, I'd also give you one bit of advice. Don't go to parties where there's a lot of alcohol. OK? Don't do that," he told her. Because, you know, it’s not like the person forcing the act has a say in it or anything. No, let’s just blame it on the alcohol.
