Speaker of the House Paul Ryan has officially announced he will be voting for Donald Trump for president in November. In a Thursday column for the Gazette Xtra, Ryan gave a somewhat flaccid but clear endorsement of the GOP's presumptive presidential nominee.

Naming several of these "bold" policy ideas, including a new tax code that would repeal Obamacare, Ryan addressed the fact that he and The Donald have never exactly been the best of buds, and that he had concerns about how Trump would handle GOP legislation as president. Ryan wrote:

To enact these ideas, we need a Republican president willing to sign them into law. That’s why, when he sealed the nomination, I could not offer my support for Donald Trump before discussing policies and basic principles.

But after a few meaningful talks about policy, Ryan concluded that Trump will do right by the Republicans in the House if elected:

Donald Trump and I have talked at great length about things such as the proper role of the executive and fundamental principles such as the protection of life. The list of potential Supreme Court nominees he released after our first meeting was very encouraging.

Ryan is now "confident" that Trump will make all of his far-right dreams "a reality." Shortly after announcing his decision, Ryan's move received praise from Trump himself on Twitter. According to Trump, he and Ryan will both be "working very hard" to make America "great" again:
