If there's anything we could use this week it's a laugh, and old people trying out new technology certainly fits the bill. Things got all too real for a grandma who probably shouldn’t go anywhere near an actual rollercoaster anytime soon. With some of her grandchildren presumably watching on, the white-haired lady tested out a virtual reality coaster for kicks, and it did not go well.
For some reason, her horror movie screeching didn’t alarm her grandson, who says in the video, "Hey grandma, look around." Things got progressively worse as the twists kicked in and her screaming increased. While we can’t see the simulation in 3D, it’s safe to say that it’s pretty realistic. "I can’t look! My eyes are closed!" she yells at one point.
If you look at the laptop behind her, you can see exactly what she’s experiencing. By the end of the video, she’s sliding out of her chair like it’s a Life Alert commercial and we’re all the better for it.
