A Hillary Clinton campaign computer system hack is being investigated reported the New York Times citing a law enforcement official. Sounds like GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's dream came true. This week he told Russia it'd be "rewarded" by the U.S. press were they to hack Clinton and release more emails, referring to the Democratic National Committee hack which saw 20,000 emails released, though he would later say he was being "sarcastic" and that no one even knows if Russia was responsible for the hack.

The FBI released a statement Friday in which it said it knew about "media reporting on cyberintrusions involving multiple political entities" without naming names. The statement also said the FBI is "working to determine the accuracy, nature and scope of these matters."

A spokesman for the Clinton campaign, Nick Merrill, said a computer program the campaign uses had been "accessed" as a result of the DNC hack but that there has been no signs the campaign's "internal systems have been compromised" reported CNN.

A law enforcement official who wished to remain anonymous told the NYT it was not yet known whether the hacks at the DNC, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), and Clinton campaign were part of one attack on Democrats or several.

The DNC hack exposed emails from party officials actively trying to work against Sen. Bernie Sanders during the presidential primaries. One of those officials included DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz who announced her resignation as a result of the leak.

The DCCC confirmed it had been hacked on Friday reported CNN. A DCCC spokesperson said investigators stated the hack was similar to the DNC one.

According to CNN, DCCC spokesperson Meredith Kelly said in a statement: "The DCCC can confirm that we have been the target of a cybersecurity incident. Upon discovering the issue, we immediately took action and engaged with CrowdStrike, a leading forensic investigator, to assist us in addressing this incident. The investigation is ongoing."

Earlier this week Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook alleged Russian hackers were responsible for the DNC leak.

"This seems to be a problem wherever Hillary Clinton goes. Hopefully this time there wasn't classified or top secret information that puts American lives at risk," a Trump campaign spokesperson said reported NBC News.

"The cyberthreat environment continues to evolve as cyberactors target all sectors and their data," said the FBI in its statement. "The F.B.I. takes seriously any allegations of intrusions, and we will continue to hold accountable those who pose a threat in cyberspace."
