Yesterday a faction of the Turkish military attempted to overthrow President Recept Tayyip Erdogan's rule in an organized coup, but failed to do so. The chaos that ensued left more than 200 dead and led to the arrest of more than one thousand coup plotters, BBC Newsreports. Turkey's Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said, following the failed attempt, "The government elected by the people remains in charge. This government will only go when the people say so." Now politicians and celebrities have taken to social media to react and voice their opinions.
