A 16-year-old high school student was killed Sunday night in Reading, Pa. after being stabbed by someone in a clown mask. Two others were reportedly wounded during the attack and treated for minor injuries at Reading Hospital. Police are currently seeking possible person of interest Avery Valentin-Bair for questioning.

Christian Torres, a 10th grader at Reading High School in eastern Pennsylvania, was reportedly stabbed around 8:30 Sunday night after a fight broke out when an individual wearing a clown mask showed up in the neighborhood, according to Fox News. Police arrived after reports of someone lying on a house's front porch, which attracted a large crowd of neighbors and onlookers in the street.

The local police chief Andres Dominguez Jr. says he believes a dispute escalated, leading to a fight. "I believe the issues got out of control," Dominguez said to the Reading Eagle. "Everyone in the neighborhood knows each other." He continued, "The saddest part of the whole thing is that the dispute got out of control. The neighbors see each other every day. They know each other so well."

A friend of the victim said that Torres "was a really good person," adding, "It was so sad. There was a stupid fight."

Capt. Damond Kloc told local news station WFMZ-TV that police are trying to locate Valentin-Bair for questioning. "At this point in time, he's a name of interest, someone that we need to speak with, because we received information that he was on location during the fight and subsequent homicide," he said.

The Berks County District Attorney John T. Adams is asking for people on the scene to contact the police. He told the Reading Eagle, "Someone was wearing a clown mask and a fight broke out. Anyone who knows anything about this, please contact the Reading police."
