Even by the dismal standards of Donald Trump this is low. Apparently Hillary Clinton's decision to invite the billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban, to the Presidential Debate Monday night got under the Republican nominee's skin so much that he threatened to invite former President Bill Clinton's alleged ex-mistress Gennifer Flowers to attend as well. As is his style, Trump threatened the action with a tweet.

If dopey Mark Cuban of failed Benefactor fame wants to sit in the front row, perhaps I will put Gennifer Flowers right alongside of him!

Flowers herself all but confirmed the invitation on the same platform.

Hi Donald. You know I'm in your corner and will definitely be at the debate!...💋

Flowers' assistant confirmed the news to Buzzfeed, and Flowers sent a text to the New York Times that read, "Yes, I will be there." However on Sunday, the Trump campaign is distancing itself from Flowers altogether. Campaign manager Kellyane Conway went on CNN this morning and stated that the former model would not be in attendance by extension of Trump's invite. "I can't confirm that," she said when asked about Flowers' attendance, adding that she "had not been formally invited. I don’t expect her to be there as a guest of the Trump campaign.”

For those who don't recognize the name Gennifer Flowers, she first hit the national headlines 24 years ago after claiming she'd had an extramarital affair with Bill Clinton during his run for president in 1992. Though her claims were never officially substantiated and Clinton denied the allegations that he had engaged in a 12-year affair with the former model, the charge dogged him throughout his run and raised questions about his moral fitness. Those same questions arose in the wake of the Monica Lewinsky scandal in 1998.

The only person who still seems to be laughing about the whole thing is Cuban, who appears very amped to watch Clinton take The Donald down live and in person.

Donald. Remember when you told me on the phone we were "Bobbsie Twins" and I laughed ? #truestory https://t.co/m8y4K2DK87
