Major GOP Donors Asking for Refund Because They Cannot Support a 'Crude, Sexist Man'

Major GOP donors want a refund after the leaked Donald Trump tape because they can't support a "crude, sexist man."

Two Republican donors who either personally gave or raised huge sums of money for Donald Trump's presidential campaign are now asking for a refund, according to NBC. It's hard to imagine how these donors thought their funds were going to go anywhere but down the toilet with this campaign, but alas, they're out tens of thousands of dollars, and now they want it all back.

According to a fundraising bundler who raised money for the Trump campaign and spoke anonymously to NBC, two top donors wrote emails expressing anger and disappointment over the Republican candidates campaign. In an email sent to a Trump fundraiser with the subject line "Trump support withdrawal," one donor wrote, "I cannot express my disappointment enough regarding the recent events surrounding Mr. Trump," NBC reports.

The donor added that he regretted "coming to the Trump support event, and in particular allowing my son to be a part of it," and said that as a husband and father, he was "repulsed by his [Trump's] comments regarding women." The donor finished the email by asking for his donation to be refunded.

Another donor made a similar request for similar reasons. In an email to a Trump fundraiser, the second donor wrote, "I am mortified to hear the latest issues with Donald Trump. His comments in regards to the female gender are very childish and embarrassing in today's society. How am I suppose [sic] to respect and support Trump with his attitude towards women?" Before asking for their money back, the donor added, "I cannot support a sexist man. I have three young children and I will not support a crude sexist man."

NBC reported that senior Trump spokesperson Jason Miller said he was "unaware of any donors making such a request."
