A 13-year-old teenage boy from Britain had his dreams brutally shattered after busting open an empty Heineken bottle he found washed up on the beach that contained a rolled-up piece of paper.

Expecting a treasure map or "something exciting from France from years ago," Robbie Chappell rushed home to take a hammer to the bottle. What he found instead was a day-old message written by two men high on cocaine, according to the Daily Mail

"We were just walking the dog by the harbor and saying we should come down more often because there was a lot of rubbish that needed picking up," Chappell's mother told the Daily Mail. "Robbie saw the Heineken bottle and shouted to me that there was a message inside. I carried it all the way home in my coat pocket, and we got quite excited thinking about what was inside. We were talking about an episode of Family Guy where Peter thinks he's found a treasure trail and spends weeks trying to find this restaurant voucher and when he gets there it's expired."

But unfortunately, the note did not contain a treasure map or anything even remotely cool. It was written by two men on Oct. 1 who were "out our nuts on cocaine!"

"Massive love for the sesh! Lots of love sesh gremlins," the note said.

Chappell's stepdad was reportedly very disappointed about what was inside the bottle. "No pirates, then," he said. "Just druggies." And his mom stated the obvious by calling it "the world's worst message in a bottle effort."

And people wonder why kids don't dream big anymore.
