Halloween is known for the scary stuff, but it can be cute, too. Just ask Blue Ivy Carter or The Rock. But in perhaps the most adorable Halloween story of the year, a Boston-area dad passed out candy to passengers on a plane on Monday night so that his 3-year-old daughter wouldn't have to miss out on trick-or-treating.

Stephanie Kahan was on a flight from Boston to San Francisco when she got a Halloween surprise. A father was passing out treats on the plane. The father also handed out a note, with the words forming the shape of a pumpkin, which explained the situation:

Happy Halloween! My 3-year-old daughter, Molly, was bummed that she wouldn’t be able to go trick-or-treating this year due to this flight… so I decided to bring trick-or-treating to her. If you are willing, when my little donut comes down the aisle, please drop this in her basket. You’ll be making her Halloween! If you’re unwilling, no worries, just pass the treat back to me. Thanks so much!

Dressed as a donut, 3-year-old Molly then went trick-or-treating down the aisles in perhaps the coolest Halloween outing to ever happen 40,000 feet in the air.

The frontrunner for Father of the Year wants to remain anonymous. According to BuzzFeed, he had planned the trick-or-treating plane ride for awhile now. But when Kahan asked to include the man's name in her tweet, he evidently asked her not to. "I could tell he was pretty humbled hearing that what he did caused such a positive reaction," Kahan said. "He obviously wasn't doing it for the reaction, he just was genuinely doing it for his daughter."
