Kelvin Peña achieved internet fame this summer for videos of himself feeding his deer friend Money along with other deers, but now the teenage "deer whisperer" is feeding families of another kind with his organization Everybody Eats.

Peña tweeted about helping others this Thanksgiving Thursday when he said his non-profit organization Everybody Eats had donated 120 turkeys to churches and pantries and hand-delivered 30 Thanksgiving meals to families in need. In a video about Peña’s unexpected rise to internet fame he talked about what it was like to gain 150,000 followers on Instagram in three days after his video went viral, but also talked about what it was like to be in need.

“I know how cold life can be. When I was in high school my mom could barely afford to pay bills sometimes,” Peña said in the video in which he appears with his family making the food donations and talking to different families.

According to the Everybody Eats Foundation website: “The Everybody Eats Foundation focuses on helping single-parent families during the holidays and after-school kids year-round. The way I envision it, if I could do it then anyone can, and in today’s society it is vital for us help each other and let positivity be a major key in everyone’s life.”

In case you haven’t followed Kelvin on his animal adventures, “everybody eats” comes from a phrase he’s heard telling the deer in the video when he’s feeding them.
