The winter holidays are almost over, and so too is the spirit of giving. This notion rings very true to a certain man in Alberta, Canada - the province where weird stuff is becoming a common occurrence this month. While Santa Claus may have snuck into our homes and left gifts beneath our tree, there are some folks that are already searching for more goods. In the wee hours of Friday morning, a man in Edmonton tried to steal an ATM full of cash, to presumably bring it home and collect all of its banknotes.

Looting an entire ATM is an already inventive way of snagging cash, but because this is 2016, there's another unexpected element to this story. After having successfully ripped the machine from its location at 55th Street and 137th Avenue, the robber decided to use a Bobcat loader as his getaway vehicle. The Edmonton man placed his prize in the bulldozer's bucket, and proceeded to drive off at an incredibly slow rate. The snail-like escape was quickly noticed by police officers, who kindly asked the criminal to pull over. When this message was ignored, a sluggish chase ensued.

The pursuit eventually ended, when authorities apprehended the man, the ATM, and his method of transportation. After a bit of paperwork, officers discovered that the Bobcat itself had been reported stolen. So, that means that this little mission was already planned, once again proving that not all thieves could be members of Ocean's 11.
