Remember when Twitter announced they were closing down Vine forever? Well, there’s been a change of plan.
In an article by The New York Times, it’s been reported that the company is thinking about releasing a “pared-down version” of its app in hopes to please their loyal fans.
This simplified version will be a new app called Vine Camera set to be available in January. According to The Times, people are still able to capture six-second clips, but instead of posting them on Vine’s social network, you’ll be able to share directly onto Twitter or save them to your phones.
"We’ve been working closely with creators to find out what’s important to you, to answer your questions, and to make sure we do this the right way,” the company said in a blog post.
The post also states, “in the coming days we’re also rolling out a way to make it easy for your Vine followers to follow you on Twitter — stay tuned for a 'Follow on Twitter' notification soon.”
If you were worried about any of your fire Vines disappearing, they'll have a solution for that. The company is allowing their users to download Vines through the app or the website. In an effort to archive all the Vines that have been created all these years, you can still browse through them on Vine.co. Did you really think they were going to delete all this gold from the internet?
