Trump Reportedly Still Using His Unsecured Android Phone

Despite giving it up for about a day, Donald Trump is reportedly back to using his old Android phone.

On Wednesday, the New York Timespublished an article about how Donald Trump is adjusting to The White House and, in passing, mentioned that he's still using his old, unsecured Android phone, even though some of his aides are explaining to him why he obviously shouldn't:

The article's author, Maggie Haberman, says the reason is almost certainly so he can continue to fire off tweets from his personal account. As you might remember, a previous report said that Trump gave up his phone for a more secure device that was approved by the CIA, though it's understandable if you missed it due to the sheer volume of stories being pumped out about him. Haberman explained to a Twitter follower how those reports don't conflict:

Reports don't conflict - he stopped using it, then quickly started again. Things change, it's day 5 etc https://t.co/Rpzbhwe4Se

We salute him for his ability to give it almost a week.

While this would seem like a bizarre justification for keeping this phone, considering Obama had a Twitter account when he was president (I mean, right?), the NYT sentence ended up leading to full blown articles *clears throat* and also some outrage by Twitter users. As it's always worth noting, Twitter pretty much survives on outrage. In this case, though, you have journalists/verified accounts tweeting instead of cartoon frogs with MAGA hats:

Someone please ask Spicer when, where, and for what purposes Trump uses his insecure Android phone.

.@jasoninthehouse you presumably are going to check with NARA to make sure Trump's use of his private phone is compliant with PRA, right?

I won't hold my breath for the GOP to direct their resources from multiple probes of Clinton's email to Trump's unsecured Android phone

Hey @FBI where's the investigation on @realDonaldTrump using his unsecured Android cell phone at the White House? #impeachTrump

Trump needs to stop using an unsecured Android phone. Let's get him a Galaxy Note 7.

Trump is using an "unsecured Android phone". This is WORSE than a private email server. @jasoninthehouse https://t.co/f4UnWNp3tu

Trump is still using an unsecured Android phone

Just in case you guys needed another reason to dislike him

Trump using unsecured phone, staff using personal mail - it won't help to try to get them to admit hypocrisy. They never will.

Trump using an Android phone is hilarious.
