In a video I'm going to replay over and over for the rest of the day, U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos is seen being met with a well-earned chorus of boos at Bethune-Cookman University in Florida. DeVos, for some reason, had been tasked with giving this year's commencement address. Her presence Wednesday inspired boos from those in attendance, with many students turning their backs to DeVos.

DeVos' speech at the historically black college, ABC News reported, has been protested since its announcement. A Change.org petition was launched after DeVos' confirmation, citing her previous comments inaccurately characterizing HBCUs as "pioneers" of school choice.

"Betsy DeVos doesn't understand that HBCUs were created in response to the exclusion of African Americans from mainstream institutions," the petition, started by Dominik Whitehead, said. "Secretary DeVos has no understanding of the importance, contributions, and significance of HBCUs."

DeVos, the sister of this creepy dude, has been widely criticized since her name was first mentioned in the same sentence as "education secretary." During her confirmation hearing in January, for example, DeVos actually attempted to make the argument that schools should be equipped with guns in anticipation of "potential grizzlies."

Anyway, just keep that video of DeVos getting booed on an infinite loop.
