Former New Mexico science teacher John W. Gose has pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking methamphetamine by manufacturing and one count of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Las Cruces Sun-News. Gose, 56, was arrested last October during a traffic stop after cops found a white, Styrofoam ice chest filled with materials such as glassware and rubber tubing, commonly associated with manufacturing meth. The arrest led to authorities searching Gose's home where they discovered chemicals which would be used to make one pound of meth with an estimated street value of $44,800.

After spending eight and a half years teaching science at Irvin High School, Gose resigned and became a vocational teacher at Oñate High School one month later. His tenure with Oñate, however, was short-lived. Gose left after one semester and went on to teach eighth-grade science at Camino Real Middle School for nearly three years.

Gose will undergo a 60-day diagnostic evaluation with the New Mexico Department of Corrections before receiving his sentence. He could face more than 20 years in prison.

Now, we don't know about you, but this sounds like an amazing story that could be turned into a TV show. But instead of having Gose get caught by the authorities during something as basic as a traffic stop, let's have him go out in a blaze of glory at the end. Maybe call it something similar to "raising hell." Maybe incorporate a commonly used phrase from Virginia. What if we call it, say, Breaking Bad or something like that?
