According to a local CBS affiliate, multiple pedestrians were hit by a red Honda in New York City's Times Square Thursday. The driver has reportedly been removed from the vehicle.
The vehicle was reportedly driven the wrong way up a Times Square street Thursday, ramming into pedestrians on the sidewalk. Though the incident is not believed to have any connection with terrorism, a bomb squad was sent to the scene as a general precaution, the Associated Pressreported. An official confirmed "multiple injuries" to NBC News and said that one person is believed to have died in the incident. The New York City Fire Department reported 13 total patients at the scene:

The driver, according to the AP, has been taken into custody and is being tested for alcohol. The New York Police Department said the driver's motive is not believed to be terror-related. The driver, reported by a local CBS outlet as a 26-year-old man from the Bronx, has two previous DWIs.
