If you happened to tune into Global Calgary last week, you may have witnessed a completely unintentional and hilarious moment. It all went down during Tuesday's morning newscast, when the network's resident meteorologist, Jordan Witzel, was tasked with announcing a "daily activity". Usually, these aforementioned tasks are encouraged to help one stay fit and healthy.
We admittedly don't watch every newscast, but we can only imagine that the Global anchors list off things like yoga, swimming, and jogging. Tuesday's recommended activity was "swinging", which you can do at almost every nearby park. Witzel, however, went a completely different route and let his dirty mind jump to conclusions. Naturally, everyone else on set lost their minds.
In case you didn't clue into Witzel's flub, he was mistakenly referencing the taboo sexual practice. Thankfully, the news fail led to hilarity, and watching the team slowly unravel is truly something to behold. Even when Witzel quickly realized his flub, the damage was already done. It was an awkward moment for the ages, and it definitely cranked the broadcast up to a PG rating. Just why it was on the brain for Jordan isn't any of our business, but it's safe to say that it made for some amazing television.
