Everyone Is Loving These Photos of Barack Obama River Rafting in Bali

The last time we saw an Obama vacation pic, he was kitesurfing with Richard Branson.

Former POTUS Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama hit the Ayung River on the island of Bali for some rafting Monday. The Obama family, including Malia and Sasha, are currently enjoying some downtime in Indonesia. The family arrived Friday, the Associated Pressreported.

Obama, who's set to appear at the Indonesian Diaspora Congress in Jakarta in July, was invited to vacation in the area by Indonesian President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo after leaving the White House. During their trip, the Obamas are also expected to visit the presidential Bogor Palace in West Java. As a child, Obama spent several years in Indonesia after his mother married an Indonesian man.

Right? The further we r away from this wonderful family & awesome @POTUS44, the more I miss them. Time IS NOT making this break-up easier!!

As is typically the case whenever we see photos of Obama enjoying himself post-presidency, these rafting images have elicited sheer joy on social media:

I don’t care what anybody says to me this is America’s Royal family.

Look! A wonderful family doing wonderful family things! Contrast with the Trump 'family' who appear to barely tolerate each other.
SAD!

Good for them! Best POTUS and FLOTUS ever.

Glad to see genuine family time with #Obamas. Something we know doesn't exist with #TrumpGang. Too busy #grifting

"One of the best endorsements you can get in marketing is from celebrities," Indonesia Tourism Minister Arief Yahya told the Jakarta Post of Obama's visit, which is expected to give tourism a noticeable boost. "They could be an artist or a political figure, and Obama is an international figure. It will have a positive impact."

Earlier this year, Obama was photographed in a similarly relaxed state of mind during a trip to Sir Richard Branson's private Necker Island resort.

Also, how could we forget those inimitable kitesurfing photos?
