A Joe Strummer biopic is coming: If you pay attention to potential films about musicians coming down the pipeline, you'll know projects for Jerry Lee Lewis, Jerry Garcia, Tupac Shakur, and even Marvin Gaye are in various stages of production. Now, legendary punk rocker and Clash frontman Joe Strummer joins the list of music legends being made into movies with an upcoming film written by Paul Viragh—who also did the Ian Dury biopic Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll. No word yet on a pick to play Strummer, so start those nerdy office pools ASAP. [LINK]

RZA not touring with Wu-Tang Clan, seems busy: Since he's an integral member of the Wu-Tang Clan, you'd expect RZA to be right at the front of the stage when the seminal hip-hop unit reunites to rock across America. However, the entrepreneurial-minded rapper has to stay at home and handle his business (probably involving dividends and, like, 401(k)s.) While he left it open to join the group on tour for the spring, he was also quick to ensure that this decision in no way indicative of trouble in the Wu camp. Sometimes a man just has to get his portfolio in order. [LINK]

Wavves and Best Coast "Got Something For You": As far as we're concerned, Christmastime is the most romantic time of the year (kick rocks, Valentine's Day!). Other than that warm feeling we get in our hearts (part of that is all the eggnog), what other season could be so sweet to facilitate a collaboration between modern-day surf outfits Wavves and Best Coast (whose frontpeople Nathan Williams and Bethany Cosentino are a real couple). Nothing says, "Have a holly jolly Xmas" like some "woo"s, a little bell work, and a single put out by Target. [LINK]

Bonnaroo announces 2011 dates: We're psychics. Wanna know how? We know exactly where a huge chunk of the indie music world will be from June 9th-12th, 2011, or precisely 203 days from today: Manchester, TN. How do we know this? Other than a mastery of the dark arts, because that's when the Bonnaroo Muisc Festival goes down. Now watch us bend spoons...with our mind! [LINK]

Julian Casablancas says The Strokes finished with new album: If you're like us—and why wouldn't you be?—you've been waiting since 2006 for a new Strokes album. Well, the wait is over. And by wait we mean the wait to know the album's actually done, not that it's been released. Yes, frontman Julian Casablancas confirmed the album's completion, with a few months of mixing still to be done. So, well, at least we've got that to latch on to. Yay. [LINK]
