A lot of the time, you don't know what to expect on MTV Unplugged. When Lil Wayne got on stage with an electric guitar, things got a little confusing. Last night, everything made perfect sense. In a long dress, on a stage in a synagogue, in front of a quiet, seated audience, Florence + The Machine brought the show back to its essence. The set gave a stripped down look into one of the few acts that doesn't need to rely on much else other than the ethereal voice of its leader.
Kanye West and Q-Tip were both in the house to witness it go down, and Flo even gave a little nod to Kanye before her cover of Otis Redding's "Try A Little Tenderness." The performance aired last night on MTV, but if you missed it you can check out a couple clips here or watch the whole thing at MTV's site.
