French Montana’s anthem “Pop That” was the biggest single of the summer. The track, which features verses from Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and Drake, also had a sample from Luther "Uncle Luke" Campbell. In it, you can hear Rozay give a shout out to Uncle Luke. However, the former 2 Live Crew rapper hasn’t been compensated for the sample of “I Wanna Rock" yet.

In an interview with MTV News on the red carpet of the BET Hip-Hop Awards, he tells them his initial reaction of the song. “"When I heard the song I said, 'Oh this is a hit,' and the next thing I said is, 'Where's my check?"

While Uncle Luke waits for the check, he says that he’ll track down Diddy if need be to get his royalty check. Considering the single will appear on Montana's Excuse My French, Uncle Luke should be getting some sort of payment soon.

"Ain't nobody told me about my check yet. I have not gotten the check yet, so I'm looking for the check," he said. “I'm gonna talk to Diddy in the back about it."
