It looks like the next chapter for dance music in the US has started; on December 20th, Clear Channel's Evolution 101.7 debuted on terrestrial radio in Boston. Evolution will be dedicated to EDM, and to kick things off, they had a one-hour program dedicated to the legendary Pete Tong, who is also hosting "All Gone Pete Tong," which will air from 7PM-9PM, Monday through Friday. It will feature him not only dropping his Essential Tune of the Week, but featuring tracks culled from Beatport's Top 100 chart.

Joining Pete will be a pretty serious line-up of DJs: Diplo, Wolfgang Gartner, Fatboy Slim, Dillon Francis, Paul van Dyk, Dim Mak, Roger Sanchez, Eats Everything, Doorly, and a host of others. Sounds like Evolution is trying to get everything right from jump.

Hit the Evolution 101.7 website for more details, or listen in via iHeartRadio.
