Did The Black Keys' Patrick Carney Really Change His Stage Name to Justin Bieber?

He's going by Justin Bieber 2.0 now on Twitter.

It all started when The Black Keys' drummer Patrick Carney was asked by TMZ after the Grammys about Justin Bieber not being nominated for any awards, and he responded, “He’s rich right? Grammys are for music, not for money, and he’s making a lot of money. I don’t know. He should be happy, I guess.” Well, Bieber got wind of Carney's comments, and took to Twitter to express how he felt about them, writing, "the black keys drummer should be slapped around haha."

What followed was a full-on Twitter feud between Bieber's fans aka his Beliebers and Carney. See some examples of the Beliebers' hate tweets, and Carney's sarcastic responses to them, below.

Then today, Carney made the next move, claiming on Twitter that he's changed his stage name to Justin Bieber, and backed it up by also changing his Twitter name to Justin Bieber 2.0, and his avatar to a picture of Bieber sporting his signature black-rimmed glasses.

Of course, this didn't slip past the Beliebers. And they quickly went back into attack mode. But Carney held his ground.

Your move, Justin.
