Consequence has finally revealed why he decided to swing at Joe Budden two nights ago during the filming of the reunion episode of Love & Hip-Hop NY. Calling into Hot 97, he explained to Angie Martinez that the altercation was a response to an interview Budden did with Jack Thriller. According to Cons, he did not run away after punching Joe, as has been reported, but rather, security intervened. Meanwhile, the Queens rapper also said that while Tahiry's punch was harder than Joe's, he did not feel threatened by that punch either.

Speaking on the altercation later that night that resulted in him getting shoved to the ground, Consequence said that the attack came from one of Budden's friends, who subsequently ran away along with Budden. He also added that Budden accidentally left his cell phone at the crime scene, and claims that Joe was receiving text messages from Raqi Thunda, Kaylin Garcia, and a mysterious acquaintance named Derick, whose status with Budden is uncertain.

Consequence went on to add that with Budden having retaliated to his attack, the two are on equal footing. According to Cons, "A snuff for a jump is fair barter."

Clearly, this situation is far from settled.
