Things were pretty hopping at SIR Stage 37 in NYC on April 4th when Kelly Rowland, that beautiful child of destiny, gave a live performance at Courvoisier's inaugural Courvoisiology Lab. A multi-sensory experience aiming to revolutionize how cognac is enjoyed, the Lab featured some incredibly creative craft cocktails from skilled New York mixologists (a.k.a. "Courvoisiologists") Duane Fernandez, Jr. and Moses Laboy. The event was an interactive social experience like no other, celebrating Courvoisier's commitment to always bucking the status quo. Guests were also treated to delicious cognac-infused hors d'oeuvres from celebrity Chef Roblé & Co. and music by DJ Ms. Nix.
But the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly Ms. Rowland, who performed a variety of tunes for the crowd, including her solo hits "Like This” and “Motivation,” the Destiny's Child favorites "Say My Name” and “Bootylicious," and her smash single “Kisses Down Low” from her forthcoming album Talk a Good Game. Kelly's fourth LP due June 4th promises to be her most personal yet. "I decided to speak on what I was doing in my life," she says. Clearly she had a lot to say, as she apparently had to whittle 70 tracks down to a more manageable 12. But don't worry, she plans on releasing all those songs someday.
