New York rapper Black Dave is dropping his Black Bart project in a week, and he's offered a new, bruising cut off the project to build anticipation. Billed as a tribute to legendary Bronx MC KRS-One, it's a New York banger all the way through, with fellow hometown up-and-comer Bodega Bamz joining in for the "black boy/tan boy" collaboration.
Produced by Shy Beats, the song features plenty of verbal gunshot noises over a looming beat. It's a harder direction for the usually calm Dave, particularly coming in the wake of his previous song, "Take It Back."
