Arcade Fire has released a video for "Afterlife" that focuses around family life. The video, directed by Emily Kai Bock, begins with a father out on the road selling flowers. He returns to his home to eat dinner with his two sons, and they engage in some small talk about the things going on in their respective lives. From there, the video alternates between their own respective journeys as individuals. The father longs for his wife back in his life, his eldest son sneaks out from home to attend a party, and his youngest son copes with traumatic experiences.

"Afterlife" appears on Arcade Fire's most recent album, Reflektor, which came out October 28.
