Kendrick Lamar headlined Powerhouse at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday, and before the show started, he was interviewed by the Breakfast Club crew alongside ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, and the A$AP Mob. During the interview, Kendrick was asked about his verse on the BET Cypher, and whether or not it was directed at Drake. Kendrick said that he has nothing against the Toronto rapper, and praised the work he put in on Nothing Was The Same. "Hip-hop is a sport, and people are going to dissect lyrics. That's what it's about at the end of the day," Kendrick said.

The interview also has ScHoolboy talking about his upcoming album, Oxymoron. Jay Rock talks about working on new music himself, while A$AP Ferg talks about the success of his singles. Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky talks about the state of New York City rap and where he fits in, respecting ScHoolboy and TDE as peers and friendly rivals, and calls Kendrick's "King of New York" boast a sign of friendly competition.
