ILLROOTS is a website that curates the culture in every possible facet, from music to fashion.

In this episode of ILLROOTS Portraits, Ro Ransom talks about the importance of professional wrestler Jeff Hardy in his life. Ransom talked about how Hardy's ability to be comfortable in his own skin no matter the circumstance gave him confidence in expressing himself and being who he was, even when the circumstances would seem to prevent that. Growing up, Ro was beaten up by bullies and rejected by girls, mainly due to how different he appeared. Ro said that during these times, it was watching Hardy that gave him resolve. "Yo, fucking white dude with green hair is me," Ro said.

Ro continues to work on his upcoming project, Ro Ransom Is The Future. The mixtape currently does not have a release date. If you enjoyed this episode, check out the previous episodes of ILLROOTS Portraits with Travi$ Scott and Big Sean.
