Roc Marciano released a new mixtape at midnight called Pimpire Strikes Back. The set-up to his forthcoming album, Marci Beaucoup, the mixtape has production from Madlib, Alchemist, Evidence, Lord Finesse, and Roc himself. Appearances on the album come from Cormega, Meyhem Lauren, Willie The Kid, Action Bronson, and Knowledge The Pirate.

The project finds Roc dropping the usual gems that he does over production that is harder than he typically rocks over, as he usually produces the bulk of his own albums in a more lo-fi fashion, without drums. While it isn't as conceptual. It is an adequate setup to Marci Beaucoup, and on its own it might be one of the stronger projects to come out. Marci Beaucoup is supposed to come out before the year ends.
