The LOX made an appearance on Hot 97 this morning to promote their new Trinity EP. Styles P, Jadakiss, and Sheek Louch explained that this project was dropped to create leverage for meetings to discuss an upcoming group album that has been anticipated for years, and that Beyoncé's new album was the catalyst for getting the EP up on iTunes. From there, the conversation shifted to Jadakiss' upcoming solo album and his issues with Def Jam in terms of getting the music out.

Eventually, the interview turned into a debate on the state of NYC hip-hop, and the three Yonkers natives started going back and forth with Cipha Sounds and Ebro about Hot 97's responsibility to play more artists from the city. When the station pointed out that they've started to play artists like Troy Ave and Action Bronson, Styles suggested that they should have been playing these artists a year ago.
