Now, eleven months and thousands of original tracks, remixes, and compilations later, New Hampshire's JSTJR - the man who has arguably best carried forth Buraka's established standard into the underground-to-mainstream vacuum finally partners with Buraka's Enchufada label. The outcome of this pairing? "Panamania," the kickoff to Volume 3 of Enchufada's Upper Cuts series. Focusing on applying classic UK soundsystem culture ideas to the digital realm - Upper Cuts delivers a free release every second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, from a huge range of challenging artists. For those unaware, ten new tracks are available for free download every six months, from both established Enchufada artists and emerging producers. The culmination is the release of a compilation available in every major digital store.
"Panamania" showcases JSTJR's studied knowledge of finding inviting and progressive percussive grooves within the slowed zouk style. Add in seductive vocals from rising Orlando, Florid-based producer/vocalist Ma-less into the mix, and the track is a slow-winding Afro-Latino twist that fits well into where the party is likely soon headed both in the big rooms and underground.
