Mike Posner tackles his personal hardships on his new record "My Light." The 25-year-old artist first addresses his music career, which he initially thought was going to bring him more serenity than chaos. "All I wanted was a record, a couple dollars when I got it/I couldn't understand why I still had all my problems," he raps over the pop-rock production. While Posner has been fairly successful so far, he still hasn't reached the mark that many believed he could when he released his debut mixtape A Matter of Time in 2009. One could make the argument that these personal woes have been holding him back. It sounds as though he is working past them now.

Listen to Mike Posner's "My Light" below, which also includes the note "Relate. Love. Inspire" on the cover art. Good motto to live by, Posner.
