Diddy, Nas, Pharrell & More Talk About Race In the Trailer for Steve Stoute's Upcoming Documentary "The Tanning of America"

The four-part documentary series will begin February 24.

Later this month, Steve Stoute's four-part documentary series The Tanning of America: One Nation Under Hip Hop will air on VH1. Based off his best-selling book, The Tanning of America: How Hip-Hop Created a Culture That Rewrote the Rules of the New Economy, the documentary explores hip-hop and race within America. "Hip-hop is really responsible for breaking down the racial barriers that were up," Diddy says in the video trailer above. Nas, Pharrell, Dr. DreMariah Carey, Rick Rubin, will.i.am, and Russell Simmons also make appearances.

The Tanning of America: One Nation Under Hip Hop will premiere February 24 at 11pm (EST) on VH1.
