They might be out of the playoffs, but is Knicks season really ever over? Actor and filmmaker Michael Rapaport stopped by to talk to Complex News about his new documentary When The Garden was Eden, a film that looks at the 1970 New York Knicks and their championship run.

The film comes just as the Knicks are coming off of one of their most hectic seasons in recent memory. The sports doc isn't Rapaport's first go around as director—many people know him for his highly acclaimed film Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of a Tribe Called Quest, which chronicled the breakup of one of hip-hop's most beloved groups. Being that he’s such a big fan of classic hip-hop, we got to sit down with the director and talk about what the New York sound is to him today, where he's at personally with the Knicks, and where he thinks there's room for a Phil Jackson for MCs. Check out the interview above for more, and as always, keep it locked to Complex News.
