In a recent article from Billboard, Skrillex revealed that he was working on sound design for the next Transformers movie, making "the craziest Skrillex sounds I could ever make." While they don't go too deep into what he's done, I do know that Skrillex actually worked with Moody Good on that sound design. It looks like it will be in the fourth installment of the Transfomers series, Transformers: Age of Extinction, which is due out on June 27. Don't expect new Skrillex music from this work, though, as Skrillex really just wanted to focus on insane sounds.
You should expect to hear a lot of new Skrillex material before year's end, though, as he is "going to sprinkle in some singles and mini-EPs throughout the year." Late last week, both Dillon Francis and Feed Me tweeted about collabs with Skrillex they were working on as well:
Oh shit @Skrillex and I are remixing @elliphantmusic's song "younger" backstage right now! Gonna play this and our other new one tonight :)
