It's never too late or too early for cuts from Snakehips. The disco-leaning R&Beats-flavored UK act always brings a touch of class to their numbers. Be it their more upbeat ones like "Make It" or their sensual smooth ones like "On & On," Snakehips always does it right. They've unleashed a new single, "Days With You" (featuring singer-songwriter Sinead Harnett), and this one is just beautiful.
Harnett's vocals combine a classic blue-eyed soul with a poppy light indie tenderness that puts her somewhere between Colbie Callait's "Bubbly" and some Amy Winehouse if had ever been able to relax and take a real breather. The beat on this though is equally as special as it twinkles in it's own right and has it's own smooth and swing to it. This track has an instant nostalgic feeling oozing from it. This is the kind of track that could have possibly come out in the '70s, the '80s, or '90s, but the production values on this are so clean that there's no question that this a modern tune.
