After releasing his tribute song, "Be Free," in honor of Mike Brown last week, J. Cole visited Ferguson, Missouri this afternoon to pay his respects to the teen who was shot and killed by a police officer last Saturday.
Cole first stopped by the scene where Brown was killed and spoke to protestors and other activists about the civil unrest taking place in Ferguson. He then made his way through the community and stopped at the QuikTrip gas station, which has been a major scene of attention in Ferguson since the incident last week. Cole was accompanied by members of his Dreamville label as he spoke with activists and citizens in the community throughout the day. Video of Cole speaking at the QuikTrip can be seen above. Additional images and footage are below, including ones from our own Complex team, who have been their since Thursday.
