Now this is surprising; not so much for Bobby Shmurda—the Brooklyn rapper went from having the hottest meme on the 'Net to signing with Epic for $2 million—showing up randomly at a festival; he's been making random appearances all over. But with The Chainsmokers? Yeah, that's a little strange, especially when more trap-based DJs were on the Electric Zoo 2014 bill (hell, Clockwork apparently dropped some Shmurda during his set), although Bobby being with Epic and The Chainsmokers signing with Sony does make them family, or at least record label cousins. Whatever the case may be, they're the ones who pulled it off. They dropped some hints about the appearance earlier today:

We are gonna schmurda today's show! @ElectricZooNY — The Chainsmokers (@TheChainsmokers) August 31, 2014
Now for some reason, we can't find any performance footage of Shmurda at Electric Zoo, but there has been some Instagram bits popping up Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel at Electric Zoo:
They also ran in to LOUDPVCK:
Now even though Day 3 was cancelled due to severe weather, it looks like Shmurda did actually get to perform:

We're not seeing any performance photos or videos, but will update when we run across some.
EDIT Our commenters are letting us know that Shmurda didn't get to really perform; it sounds like The Chainsmokers stage was being dismantled due to the weather.
