The 2014 Gretna Heritage Festival announced that they have dropped Cee-Lo Green from their lineup. Cee-Lo was supposed to headline the festival's main stage on Sunday, October 5, but instead has been replaced by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Cee-Lo's removal from the bill is due to last week's tweets about the definition of rape in the wake of his no contest plea to a 2012 incident in which he allegedly gave a woman ecstasy without her consent. He went on to apologize for the remarks, saying that the comments were "idiotic, untrue and not what I believe."

In a press release, the festival organizers wrote that Green's comments were "not acceptable." They went on to add: "Our community does not condone these disparaging remarks delivered by Cee Lo Green, and we feel this entertainer does not represent what our festival is about and has achieved over the past 20 years."
