You probably already know about NYC rap radio drama. Hot 97 versus Power 105. Charlamagne Tha God versus Funkmaster Flex. Ebro versus everyone. Maybe one day this will rise to "Ether" level diss records, or something. But for now, Hot 97 reigns supreme. Earlier this morning, we realized that Hot 97 actually purchased the www.Power105.com domain name, forcing Power 105 to go with the clunky www.Power1051fm.com instead. Not only does www.Power105.com redirect you to Hot 97's website, but Hot 97 owns the domain name until April 2017. The station registered it back in 2000 and re-registered on December 31, 2013. That's a sure way to get some more pageviews, and it's the pettiest move in the history of rap radio beef. Well done Hot 97.

Things have been heating up between the two radio stations over the past two years, and in June, Angie Martinez made the switch from Hot 97 to Power 105 backAlthough Angie explained that it was all love, her career move definitely added fuel to the fire. As recently as last week, Peter Rosenberg found time during his interview with Childish Gambino to take a shot at Power 105 saying, "we've been kicking their butts for weeks."

The first rule of rap radio beef: never miss a chance to stunt on your competitors.
