Crazy to think that just last month the world lost Nicky Da B. While not an EDM artist off top, he was a part of what's possibly one of Diplo's biggest hits in "Express Yourself," and should be properly remembered. DC's Jon Kwest did just that, flipping "Express Yourself" and a number of other beats and sounds in this tribute to Nicky. It's all kinds of N.O. bounce, which is the best way to pay homage to fallen New Orleans artists. For all the talk about twerking and twerk music, it's that bounce that makes me thinking about asses shaking and bouncing in time to a beat more than anything. Sure, the actual beats can be dumb similar, but it's more about the feel, and Kwest nails it.
