In the conceptual video for "7th Heaven. (Interlude)," World's Fair member Remy Banks shows us New York City through his eyes. From smoking with a bad chick in a Tribeca loft to mobbing in Jamaica Center with the clique, Remy pays homage to the Big Apple. Even though the first person camera technique is a little played out, Remy gets away with it by showing the elegance and the grit in a city where people typically experience one or the other.
Although the video has a cool concept, the song is what really makes this dope. "7th Heaven. (Interlude)" was produced by King Krule and Black Mack (together they are MacKrule), who make a perfect old school beat for the Queens MC to spit over. Remy rides the MacKrule wave effortlessly, rhyming about all the fun he had the night before. The only issue we have with the song is it's only one verse. C'mon Remy, we could have listened to a few more bars.
"7th Heaven. (Interlude)" is off of Remy's upcoming project Higher, which will hopefully drop soon. We'll just have to play this while we wait.
