"Welcome to New York," the optimistic, giddy new single from Taylor Swift's 1989 album, finds Yung Taylor painting an image of a dreamlike version of the Big Apple. Perhaps it's the version she has experienced as a fairly new resident of the city, with her $19 million Tribeca penthouse. Regardless, the city found her to be the most qualified celebrity figure to rep New Yitty, as she's been appointed as New York City's Global Welcome Ambassador

With that in mind, we hit up Times Square to see what both locals and tourists thought of Swift's new anthem, and who they think should actually serve as the city's ambassador. Check out the video above.
