Rising Toronto rapper Jazz Cartier gets experimental on his new single for "Rose Quartz/Like Crazy," giving listeners a six minute epic track complete with an interlude. The first half shares the name of Toro y Moi's "Rose Quartz" which the song samples, and sees Jazz rapping about the sweet beginnings of a relationship. The song then cuts into an interlude from 2011 movie Like Crazy, which chronicles the harsh breakup and loss of trust between the two lovers. Slowing down Toro y Moi's instrumental, Jazz highlights the end of the relationship with multiple references of the lovers going through each others phones and even cheating.
