Nearly a week after Nicki Minaj debuted "Bed of Lies" with Skylar Grey at the MTV EMAs, we've finally been blessed with the CDQ. Up until now we'd only heard the first verse and chorus on the somber, piano-driven track produced by Kane Beatz.
The second verse is less scathing than the first and downright heartbreaking. In it she raps, "When the tears rolled down it's like you ain't even notice them/If you had a heart I was hoping that you would show it some." Going by the five stages of loss and grief, Nicki shifts from anger to bargaining by her last bar, rapping, "If there was something that I should have asked all along, Imma ask on this song."
