How do your favorite rappers write their rhymes? To find out, Complex TV has started a new series, The Process. Hosted by Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg and shot at New York City's legendary Chung King Studios, The Process features intimate conversations with established legends as well as exciting up-and-comers about how they put their rhymes together and the magic that happens when the pen hits the pad.

In Complex TV's new episode of The Process, Rick Ross joins Peter Rosenberg at Chung King Studios for a discussion of how the 305 representative became a Hood Billionaire. "I studied the greats," Ross says. "Not only from a lyrical point of view, but from a production standpoint." It's clear then why Rozay describes his distaste for artists who settle for average success. "You get you some chump change, and you want to kick your feet up and go marry your girl," he muses. "Let's go marry the money."

Watch the full episode above, where Ross reveals the inspiration behind his signature grunt and why he looks up to 2Pac. He also talks about his notable "Maybach Music" song series, which featured a memorable collaboration with Jay Z on its very first installment. Rick Ross' Hood Billionaire is available for purchase on iTunes.
