Though Death Grips broke up as a duo this summer, they still released the physical version of their album, Government Plates, on Black Friday. With that physical version came the album's liner notes, and as one Reddit user points out, the revelation that Twilight Star Robert Pattinson played guitar on the band's song "Birds."
The news was later confirmed by drummer Zach Hill, who said that he recorded Pattinson playing guitar on his iPhone, which the band then flipped as a sample on the song. Last year, a photo of Pattinson was posted on the band's Facebook page with MC Ride and Beyoncé, though she didn't make an appearance on the album.
Pattinson is currently dating rising star FKA twigs and has always been open about his love for music, so this collaboration with Death Grips may not be that much of a surprise. Listen to the collaboration below.
