In a recent interview with Australia's Triple J, Danny Brown revealed that he started working on his new album, which will be a follow-up to his 2013 release of Old. “I got a studio in my house now so I’ll just wake up, stretch, record whenever I want," Brown said, also noting that the project will feature production from Alchemist, and more.
But more importantly, Brown broke the news that he is currently working on a new children's book that he says has taken him "forever" to complete, but is dedicated to his daughter. “It’s really about self-esteem in black girls,” Brown said. “You know how black women do so much–process their hair, change their eye color. It’s really about a little girl who does all these things to herself and changes herself and she realizes she’s just better off the way she is.”
Brown is aiming high with the book, and says he was inspired by Dr. Seuss while working on the project. "I think I am Dr. Seuss," he said.
